Yeah! Films Company kicks Toronto rioters in butt...

Holy Moly Poly.

Wow, what a whirlwind. From the moment we decided to pack up and head back to the "true great North" it has been insane pulling it all together in a timely manner. I started a brand new job in cosmetics which I am having so much fun with so between all the training, packing, selling, organizing, closing, and digesting, it has left me little time to focus on my blog. Although I won't be documenting my journey through Los Angeles anymore, I'm excited to embark on my next adventure. My plan when arriving in Canada is to still continue to pursue singing and acting but also start a career in makeup. I've been doing makeup for my friends and family members since I was in elementary school so I think it will be a fun way to make money while still keeping my dreams afloat.

In other news, my brother's good friend Miguel Barbosa (founder of Yeah! Films Company) managed to capture and regurgitate a brilliant montage of the riots and protesters wreaking havoc on the streets of Toronto during the G20 Summit. It's incredibly sad and disgusting that mankind see's a World Peace gathering as a good opportunity to display how angry they are with themselves and the world. It's a prime example of how many human beings would behave if there were ever to be a national emergency... like complete and utter animals. Tell me folks, really, what differentiates us from an average pack of wild dogs? The minute some asshole realizes there's a small moment in time they think the can get away with hitting police cars with sticks (they look like pathetic caveman) or even setting one on fire, anything human about them disappears - they turn into rabid dogs looking to bite anything just for the sake of infecting.

As a whole, I truly wonder how far along the evolution path we really are. This shit needs to change. On the up side - Miguel's vid has been picked up by tons of Canadian news sources and has a acquired almost 37,000 hits on YouTube. Check it out for yourself here.

Way to go Miguel!

FussyJussy has been MIA...

BAH!

I know! It's almost July and I've only done ONE post this entire month :( Well, now two counting this one. Sorry everyone. I want to start posting again but things have been nutso crazy since we decided to pack up and head home. Phil leaves tomorrow to drive our car back, packed to the brim with our belongings! He'll make the 4 day journey by himself (accompanied by loads of music and books on tape) and I'll fly back July 18th with our beloved little Jimmy The Babe. I have started a very fun job at the Laura Mercier counter at Bloomingdales and am having a blast playing with makeup all day and helping people feel good about themselves.

I promise to do more regular updates as soon as I am settled in my life. Check back soon for more news on my future plans and to see some of my new favourite products for summer :) Oh! A BIG congrats to a good friend of mine who has just gotten engaged - CONGRATS ALISA & BRANDON!!!

Hope all is well with you... sending love... as always...

XO.

I've got something to tell you...

I'm not off my rocker.

Am I crazy? That's a tough question. Nah, I wouldn't say crazy... I would say, defiant, impatience and madly in love with family. As I'm sure some of you have probably guessed, or for those of you I've already told, this may not come as a surprise to you but for everyone else who doesn't have a clue... here goes... Phil and I are moving back to Canada.

I know, it's funny isn't it? It took us months to find a perfect new home in LA, we finally do, start decorating it, even have a housewarming party and that same weekend we both came to the conclusion - our time in LA feels finished. Everything is turning out (as it almost always does) completely different from what I expected. But I know deep down inside, it's all for the right reasons.

Now let me be clear. Los Angeles is a beautiful city. We've been here for 2 and a half years and have both experienced and learned SO much, it's indescribable. I studied acting with one of the best teachers I've ever had the privilege of knowing (Mr. Robert Carnegie), discovered that although I love to act, I'm better at comedy and would rather make you laugh. I found the best vocal teacher I've ever had and have grown immensely in my vocal ability, all thanks to her amazing explanations (and my dedicated practicing).

I've lived near a beach, had palm trees in my sight at all times, practiced Nichiren Buddhism (and chanted with musical legend, Herbie Hancock!) had the pleasure of showing many people the historical sights, fabulous restaurants and the beautiful scenery LA is made of. Partied in Hollywood, shopped til I dropped, danced ALOT, hiked, biked, walked, and ate delicious food. I've met incredibly creative people full of ambition and talent from all over North America... I've laughed a lot, cried a lot, missed people a lot, been disappointed and been pleasantly surprised, filled my 'book of life' with one more chapter and am completely satisfied with moving back to begin our new chapter!

I am so grateful and happy that Phil & I decided to embark on this beautiful adventure together - it certainly hasn't been easy but I appreciate everything in my life so much more because of it; having a supportive husband by my side, having family close by, living in a smaller city, and spending tons of time with my closest friends. So, when do we head back you ask?

... at the end of this month! SURPRISE!!!

ps. I turn 23 on June 13th! AND Phil turns 25 on June 18th!
